Hey guys I ve a question, first here is my build.

ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133

AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz

CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Water Cooler

OCZ Vector Series VTR1-25SAT3-256G 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC

SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100351VXSR Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB 384-bit GDDR5

CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W

Its w7 sp1.

I had msi 990fxa gd80 mobo before this one. At this mobo , boots lot faster. But not why i expected. It comes too fast to windows loading screen, then at there its like freezing(im guessing like that) for a couple seconds when windows word appears, after that it boots before the animation ends. With the first mobo , it was booting slower than this one, I was waiting more on windows loading screen( not on the word ) but there was no freezing at the begining . Why is that hapenning? I m waiting for information guys. Thanks!

Got a couple of small "freezes" at boot too. I think its because the OS boots faster then originally planned for, when building the boot animations into it. Thats why it lookes weird and choppy. Looks better with Windows 8...

I wonder if it could be the different brand specific software : SATA, USB, OBNic, drivers that exist between ASUS and MSI.  IF you upgraded to the ASUS with the same SSD as boot OS..did you remove all the MSI sata/usb/ JMicron drivers in favor of the ASMedia controllers..?..This is just a thought..

Your best effort is the easiest thing to give to someone else..

I formatted the ssd when i got the new mobo, so there is no old software problem.

I ll try to change the cables with the old ones, maybe it works donno tho.

You will need to go into the BIOS. Use your direct to BIOS key on your MB. With the computer off..just hit the button and confirm you want to get into the BIOS..

On the ADVANCED MODE BIOS page you mouse over to the advanced tab, click on the SATA button the port settings are there..

Make sure you read your manual..there are a lot of newer features on the Z than my CrossHair 5

Have a look at your manual..there are are few addition on the Z board which have to do with the fast boot option when running windows 8..Check out your BIOS version and update if needed. If you do not use windows 8 then I wonder if turning off the fast boot and other Windows 8 specific BIOS option will make a difference?

How much delay total are these freezes causing anyway? Is it really so bad, that you would want to change your OS?

got to your startmenu, type/search "msconfig", then click on it

go to the "system start" tab and disable everything then reboot and see if it helps.
