10x SCSI jumpers, or 2mm jumpers. IDE jumpers (or the kind you find almost everywhere else) are 2.3mm or 2.5mm, can't remember off the top of my head.

The way they were packaged was really cool - instead of using a padded envelope the eBay seller printed out the invoice, then cut out our address and taped it to an envelope. They then took the 10 jumpers and taped them to the rest of the invoice, folded it up, and put it in the envelope.
Cheap, and the jumpers arrived undamaged.

They allow me to overclock my Power Mac G4, since the multiplier (and some other things) are set by a jumper block on the board. I don't know what changing the other settings do, so I'm leaving those since those stay the same across every single G3 B&W and G4 Yikes! model iirc, but the multiplier is easily changeable via this handy little chart:

image.png.1341217aa6e0abbb1944264bc5a092e1.png

I went for 450 MHz at first and got it!

The second image is proof I didn't grab it from online and just edit the pertinent info, because G4 450 MHz models did exist. They didn't have the PowerMac1,2 ID though.

500 MHz, though...

Blank screen. So a 450 MHz Yikes! G4 is as good as I get.

That's a cool overclock process, I didn't even know you could do that with PowerPC processors. I haven't messed with jumpers on a board since my 1ghz Athlon, or maybe it was a K6-2 system.

I miss the B&W G3 I had for a while, it was an earlier revision with the IDE drive size limitation (I think it was maybe 160GB?) so I sold it. I still have a 500mhz G3e 2001 iMac, I replaced the hard drive and the PRAM battery a while back, still works great.

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

Bought this so I could take breaks away from my screen at work. Turning out to be a good read.

I don't know if you've seen it or not but you can find the BBCs Micro Men on Youtube which is a dramatisation of the fight between Sir Clive Sinclair and Chris Curry.  I've watched it a few times now and it's pretty good.  Also The Nostalgia Nerd does some really good deep dives on the history of all those old UK  Micros

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

I just found it on B&H for $780. That's quite higher than the 3070 MSRP but I think it's a premium model: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1606695-REG/gigabyte_gv_n3070vision_oc_8gd_geforce_rtx_3070_vision.html

Sony NW A55

Its good, it’s got an absolutely unmatched battery life, it’s comfortable, can play up to DSD256, and the software is really nice to navigate, which can be an issue for a lot of portable players since basically nothing compared to old iOS (this isn’t a joke, this is a widely accepted view). However the non android walkmans are really good at replicating the valuable features of old iOS music management.

Only issue I run into with it is that it doesn’t output enough power for my Thieaudio monarch MK2’s, I’m at max volume, 120, playing DSD, and 80-90 volume with flacs, I’m either gonna have to get an amp or a player with a more powerful and balanced output.

I think one of the players I have beats it pretty handily, but yeah the Sony units get pretty awesome battery life. I hate how a lot of them use the WMPort though; for me it's USB C or bust.

Totally agree about the software. It's why I used my iPod Nano for more then a decade.

If you like smaller players, you should check out the Hidiz AP80 Pro. The build quality is outstanding, I'd say better than the considerably more expensive Cowon Plenue D3.
