Got a GN wireframe mouse mat. Kinda wanted to buy a new mouse mat at the same time as I replaced my mouse so I bought one from GN as their designs are super cool looking and seem durable, and it also helps support them.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

My new Omnidesk Pro 2020 arrived yesterday, spent about a couple of hours assembling it, didn't realize it's one heavy mofo! Anyway, I'm in the process of tidying up the cables as I'd gotten the cable management attachment for it, also got castors for it as I might move it around a little and don't relish the thought of lifting it myself (My back! My back!😭 ) The control panel to lift and lower the desk is on the bottom left edge of the table top in pic. As you can see, I'd gotten the smallest version (48") and it's a pretty tight squeeze. I might swap out the kb for a full sized Ducky Shine 4 Fire 69 or one of my Topre since I have loads more space.

Amazon shipping estimate is not correct, the package tracking says it's gonna be in germany by friday. So if i'm lucky it's gonna be here by christmas!

Thinking of using it to test getting Monterey working with my Hackintosh, or putting it in an MBP 2012 that I hope to get.

@Schnoz I think mentioned this drive at some point; it's an 850 EVO or 860 EVO equivalent right?

Got this for 100€ instead of a 1tb as it was 190€ more expensiv. This is mainly for the os, and a few games. Hoping to have 200gb free space for a fast boot.

7gb read and 5.5gb write.. Double what my a2000 m2 does and 10x what my first intro 660p m2 did.

I bought 3 of these 1x Refurb (just a return) as temperature and stat display for my PC, and 2 for my 3080 laptop on the go. Basically 3 screens always even with a laptop.

Then 4x AquaComputer Octo because Splitty9 Actives weren't coping with 40x Noctua Industrial 3000RPM fans.

Technically the new Neil Young album (which is incredibly good, Neil apparently found his mojo back :D) is my latest purchase, but this photo is about the Pioneer PL7 record player. I picked this one u pin incredibly bad shape about a year ago. The original case was completely cracked, damaged, missing the cover, missing its bottom. My dad made this case to my specifications and it looks and sounds great. It was finished earlier today. It's also a lot smaller than the original, rather ridiculous 1969 case:
image.png.b20dbf3d2bb5ec336a4167bcdc37106a.png

In case someone wonders why this classic beauty is flanked by two budget DJ turntables;
The left one is a Gemin XL-DD50 IV which honestly is a pretty solid performer,. I'm running it with a Shure M44 for beat up records.
Reason I'm hanging on to it is that it belonged to my local record store, this was on the counter for customers. Through this (now) beat up old thing I got to know SO much great music, so it has some sentimental value, and it's great for digitizing/playing beat up records. To the right is a Skytec TEC 3450. Skytec usually makes cheap junk, but this is actually a solid record player. You can barely find this model online and it was their absolute top of the line. Reason I'm using it is that it's got the 78rpm speed for digitizing pre-1950's shellack records. The Pioneer PL7 can do this too, but you need a separate stylus for shellack records, and you'd then need to setup everything every time you swap the stylus. So I opted for three record players in my studio, each with a different purpose.

Since I have more space on my new desk, I'd ordered two new headphone stands for cans I have on rotation. I like that the part where the headband rests is curved and padded, I feel this is better because it spread out the weight of the can over a wider curved area, so the headband cushion isn't stressed or focused onto a small area. Anyway, I like it!
