Here's roughly a week's worth of sadness and ADHD-fueled impulse purchases in order. My bank account is in pain.

Elgato 4K60 Pro Mk.2. It took all of two days of having chroma subsampling on the HD60 Pro to get me to buy this.

Spoiler

IMG_4272.jpg?width=872&height=654

2TB MX500, originally for my desktop but this ended up working out perfectly given what I bought literally four days later.

Spoiler

IMG_4271.jpg?width=872&height=654

Apple TV 4K. Got this so I don't have to use the One X every time I want to watch Plex/Netflix/whatever on my TV (and also the Plex client is just soooooooooooooo good).

Spoiler

IMG_4286.jpg?width=872&height=654

Acer Aspire 7 A715-72G. Ended up picking this up from a friend for a smoking deal and it is the new desktop replacement. Specs are obviously on my profile if you care.

Spoiler

IMG_4297.jpg?width=872&height=654

240GB MP510. Got this because the stock drive in this laptop was only 120GB (though realistically space wasn't an issue) and it was a mediocre SATA M.2 drive to begin with.

Spoiler

IMG_4292.jpg?width=491&height=654

Honorable mention: 32GB 3200MHz CL22 Crucial RAM for the laptop. Not actually a purchase (actually a combo birthday/Christmas present from my mom), but it had to happen. 8GB was torture.

Helped my dad pick out a gift for my brother during cybermonday.

He gifted these to me.   "Don't enjoy them until Jul."  Me, "So, I can open them I just can't enjoy them?   Okay!   Hey dad, the soundstage sux!   Worst gift ever!"

I literally ordered the LED tail light and turn signal bulbs for my one car from Japan for like $60 a pair because they were JDM only and so very much better than anything Philips USA offered or has offered. I could get them nowhere else. $30 of the $60 total was special shipping from Japan and they basically arrived in a glorified paper lunch bag.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

These have a metal keyboard area and display lid which helps bring them up a lot. Keyboard is also pretty darn nice overall. Think my only major complaints are that Acer gorilla-gripped the screen bezel on it which causes some pressure points, and the cooling system is also a bit retarded.

Well worth it. Only downside to it is that the timings are pretty ass across the board. My laptop ends up running them at 2666 and even now they still run at CL19.

Get a USB C hub with useful stuff, like USB A and charging pass through, card reader, etc. They're handy to have for phones and tablets too.

Out of curiosity, does yours do the same nonsense where temps really aren't that unreasonable but the fans just rip and tear at the slightest hint of a temp increase? This little spike to about 60-65 was enough to get my fans to start going turbo mode. I've also noticed that even when you're just dicking around doing nothing intensive, the fans take a LONG time to reach their absolute minimum idle if you just had it slammed with a load. IF they even decide to go back down to idle in the first place.

My old ass Dell acts like that too, fans are off till about 50C then low speed till about 65-70C then turbo basically the next 20 minutes no matter the temp now. I just don't care anymore lol, dust it once a year and Yolo. That fan can suck on my blankets, thigh, couch, whatever.

I finally got CP2077.. A little late to the party, but it was on sale, along with ARK which I have been wanting to check out lately.

I also got some fun gun stuff.. No real need for the 80% frame but it was 80% off so I couldn't pass on it.. The Holosun red-dot is near bomb-proof and its  for my daily carry so it will be a nice upgrade to my compact, which will now more closely match my full-size that is a Glock 19 with a Delta-point Pro.

i have to confess that i have a very nasty side...

Spoiler

Bought a DS920+ to replace my DS220J as a Backup NAS of my actual NAS that you can see in the background there as well.

It's very overkill but the 220J unfortunately doesn't offer all the functionality that i need.
IMG_20211130_203203.thumb.jpg.463eb2660bcc80d644f8efb5d25800f1.jpg

DS220J will be put to good use though as it will be my parents first NAS, so i got them a couple 4TB drives for it.

We will actually utilize Synologys Hyperbackup to synchronize the two devices over the internet, giving each of us

always up to date offsite backups.

Up until now we used to exchange external harddrives every month or so, which is not really convenient.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The True Path of the Feathered One. ~ Dimboble-dubabob III
