After a few misses I got a hit finally, I scored a Dell GTX 1070 for $156.11 shipped+tax that works. I have a GTX 1070 Mini ($150) that has a power cable error that may be fixable, a P106-100 ($42) I need to do some SMD solder work on, and a P106-90 ($42) that seems just straight dead that I'd like to try to diagnose and repair.

 

Dell card is identical to the MSI Aero except the missing MSI sticker on the fan. Works fine, currently mining for a while with it. Might sell it on to a friend at my cost when I'm done mining with it after I re-paste and re-pad it.

Nice! I managed to snag a 3080 Ti FE from Best Buy. But it's kind of a bit more than I need (aside from ray tracing in Cyberpunk), so I'm debating between finding it a new home, or keeping it and selling my 6700xt.

Alright I got a whole lot of shit this past week so here we go, chronological order time.
 

HDMI switch and a 64GB Bar Plus. Mainly needed the switch and got the flash drive to get free shipping, but it'll mainly be used for OS installers or moving random shit around.

6ft DP to DP and DP to MiniDP cables as well as a 3ft HDMI cable. DP cables are for my main PC and side hoe. The MiniDP end of the cable I was using on my main PC was ratted out and I ended up bringing the sidehoe to DP because DP is better lmao (and it gives me my HDMI port for a third PC). The HDMI cable is for the HDMI switch because I thought it'd be short enough but it really isn't, I should have gotten a 1.5ft cable (and one that also wasn't a thiccboi).

Also got a Phenom II X6 1055T to replace the Athlon II X2 260 in my sidehoe. That little thing struggled just doing shit like Spotify and Discord (and it was also a limiting factor in some games). And for sucking down ~120 watts, this is the most amusingly cool chip ever. My 212 EVO barely gets warm to the touch, though the mobo is also having the fan rip and tear since I have the upper thermal limit in the BIOS set to 55C.

And finally, today I renewed my plate/sticker. Aaaannnnd because it was only 5 bucks more, I got the bridges plate that I wanted originally when we got the plate for my car (even though it was like 20 bucks then which is dumb).

Home Depot has a nice sale on the new Atomic stubby impact and 5ah battery in both 1/2 and 3/8th anvil. I got the 1/2 anvil version for use at work on suspension, brakes, and exhaust where my air guns have the beans but not the room to work. This has both beans and small size. $200 is a steal for this combo. Battery alone retails for $160 and bare tool for $200.

I finally have a baritone guitar again. Sold the one I previously had because it had issues staying in tune (the manufacturer wasted money on locking tuners but couldn't engineer a guitar that stays in tune, go figure), the G-string (don't laugh) sounded like ass (hey, I said don't laugh) regardless of what kind of strings I installed and the neck became uncomfortable to play after a while. I tried out a few different ones in the meantime but as always I land back at PRS if I want stuff that sounds good and feels good to play. So I got a PRS SE 277.

 

 

 

The collection is finally growing again after I sold two guitars and gave two additional ones to my little brother and sister. And I have a feeling it's gonna be all PRS from this point onward.

So we are upgrading the school servers to run 10gbe and I was pleased with the first one due to the AR on the app and the cool touch screen so we are going to replace all the switches with these. (I've just ordered 5 of these)

My cousin got his PS5 and went through with the sale.  So bought this:

 

It's got a 10900K, 16GB of RAM and a 2070 Super..All for £1250..He even threw in the series two Elite controller as well as he can't use it on his PS5..

 

It does need a few little 'tweaks' that he didn't want to do himself and the cable management he did (or didn't) do sucks ass. It's f*****g rapid though...

Technically...i've got an i7 8700k with a GTX 1070..but that's...otherwise indisposed at the minute (long story).  I've been using an i7 870 with a G210 in an iTX board since June.

Think it was a special price for me to be fair.  I priced it up at around £16-1700 when he asked and he came back to me with the price above.  I don't think he does either.  He's never really been in to the 'nitty gritty' of PC gaming despite my willingness to teach him.  He's happy.  I'm happy.
