So I just bought a new bike today! Can't wait to get it registered and insured.  I Haven't had a bike since I sold my dirt bike 5 years ago.  Have a 30 min commute to work figured I might as well enjoy it in the spring/summer/fall 🙂

So I bought these magical fans, after getting a discount because the thermal pad I bought was slightly defective (one corner was bad)

Three for $8, so my expectations were low

DSC_0514.thumb.JPG.0354738b58b32b2af3a0782b715eab0f.JPG

Right outta the box, I felt one fan blade was wobbly and was like "ah crap"

It snapped right out of the fan hub lol

DSC_0516.thumb.JPG.12de597babcb56b080be0343856b73bb.JPG

The other two fans were okay though,I checked by plugging them in and they spin soooo...

They're replacing it for me, but we'll see how long these lasts lol

Hopefully, few months

Probably still too high.

Also, since when do fans heat up the air they're moving? Lol

Even the marketing is garbage.

Nah.

Amazon and the state takes a large cut. With the remains you can buy some fans so approx. $2.7 is a fair price for cheap fans.

Still probably still worse then Arctic P12 (although they got significantly more expensive since launch)

You can still buy the P12 PWM PST for 6€ each. 22€ for a 5-pack. They didn't get any more expensive. At least in europe.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Arctic P12 where 4€ for a single fan. 2€ more is in this price range +50%.

May be 50% more, but 6€ is not too much to ask for a decent fan.

Sold by Amazon UK but can't be delivered within the UK? Say what now?

Also, funnily enough, one of the variants is cheaper for me to buy if sold by Amazon DE rather than Amazon UK...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Bought it on amazon de from amazon uk international shipping shipping to Germany. Also the offer lasted long. A minute or so after placing the order it was gone and back up to the old 7.50€ price.

Was that 7.50eur pricing still Amazon UK or Amazon EU (as there are other non-DE ones as well)? Sounds like the system kicked you off Amazon UK and changed you to somewhere else...

Funnily enough it does happen quite frequently these days with computer parts. Within 2 hours, I've seen Amazon.co.uk jump between Amazon UK and Amazon DE about 5 times lol. Mind you, Amazon UK was pre-order whilst Amazon DE was in stock

I got a lot of things in the mail!
GTX 690 w/o fan - $112

GTX 690 fan - $14

Replacement power cables for my PSU - $15
PCIe 6-pin extension - $4 (NewEgg had it on super duper sale, instead of $13 it was $3, and even though I have a bunch of extra cable I don't mind)

Will post pictures as they arrive! The fanless GTX 690 should be coming tomorrow if UPS is to be believed.

$4000, but it's for collection more than mining, so I'm fine with it not getting ROI

my next PC will probably be white themed, i guess

i find it funny because it'll live in the mines until i can be arsed to get a new system when next gen cpu drops

Got myself a really nice condition Technics SL-1500 Mk1 that came with a older Ortofon VMS3 cartridge. Much better than the Aiwa turntable I scavenged from an all in one hifi..
