Replaced our 3 old PCs this year, but only one has a GPU capable of gaming so far.

If we don't get another GPU I'm afraid we'll be playing One of Us irl.

Double Stuf Oreos!

Spoiler

WIN_20210313_15_23_34_Pro.thumb.jpg.1eb994fbd661fe3483f7a05fd3eff085.jpg

They cost $5.40 but I had a 2-dollar bill on my desk from somewhere (most likely my birthday last year - I was nicknamed "The Dropper" for a reason) so it cost me $3.40 in my bank account.

Not even gonna sugarcoat it: if you actually spent a $2 bill on Oreos, you're a dumbass. Full stop.

Oreos sound delicious right now, but seriously? $2 bills aren’t exactly everywhere.

And it still cost you $5.40, I don’t recommend convincing yourself they cost less because you got some of the money for free.

Then keep it in honour of your great aunt who went through the effort of finding something uncommon to give to you?

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields.

I know it cost $5.40. My bank account is where I have most of my money, though.

I believe she works at a bank or something, anyway, it's my money and I'll do what I like with it.

We'll see how this goes... I'm revamping a bicycle I put together several years ago, and the whole drivetrain minus the crankset and bottom bracket has to go. Going 38T on front chainring and 11-42 on the cassette. It's going to be 1-2 months before I get it.

Purchased one of these last night.
949218048_IceGiantCoolerlisting.thumb.jpg.0fc7a05bec29ea17dcdae0d19eda0b3d.jpg

And......
Just grabbed a quad's worth of Delta fans for it, namely four 120mm 170 CFM fans.

Maybe kinda loud but should be fun anyway.

Horizontal mount only, not going to have it as a vertical setup so socket problems with the PCB possibly getting ripped out shoudn't be an issue.

If talking about the quad's worth of 170 CFM fans in play - That's a different story. 😁

And thus, completed my collection of the 30 series until I decide to buy more GPU, which hopefully I won't do for a while, for my own sanity

Gonna spend a day testing this GPU again, with the dev driver

NVidia marketing.

It won't be able to use that 12GB too well, but because some people think VRAM is everything, "12GB > 8GB, so 3060 > 3070!"

I'd be curious how you end up liking it/how well it works. At some point I should probably consider getting a stonked out toothbrush too.
