As long as it works lol

The fact this thing has type c is a plus. So annoying having to dig out a micro cable when I could just plug it into my phone charger.

After pretty much doing 13 hour days, 7 days a week for this full past year, I've decided to buy something other than audio gear. Surprise surprise, Derkoli not buying speakers.

After being a Porsche fan boy since I was 13~ I decided I wanted a Porsche. Ideally, I would have a 956C, but that's a bit out of my reach.

I decided on this 1969 911 E 2.0 LHD

image.png.a2a67ca43987fd3db7e44a3a505826c2.png

Unfortunately, it sold before I could reserve it.

So I went off and tried to decide on something else, and finally picked a 2020 911/992 Turbo S with bits and bobs on it.

I tried balancing having more track/lightweight-oriented extras and comfort options, and I think I was fairly successful.

Main options I picked were the "Lightweight Package w/ 18 way seats" and "Sport Package"

Also got it in Crayon colour, as I think this is my favourite car colour as of right now.

The one main feature I wanted on any somewhat low car was a front axle lift system, which is needed for boarding the Torpoint Ferry which I use quite often to commute to work.

She's very pretty, if I do say so myself.

Not the most practical thing and most likely won't be driven on a track anytime in the near future, but I've bought it to enjoy myself, nothing else.

I think the most I'm going to enjoy it is on the A374 road between Torpoint and Marsh Mills, It's a fairly famous piece of road for motorbikers in the UK.

Still pretty silly that my main pair of speakers are worth more than this car.

Now I just have to wait for 16-20 weeks for it to be ready, and I'm officially nearing bankruptcy. Donations are accepted.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

Here's my newest toy.  Disability prevents me from driving, so I don't buy cars, but this bad boy will let me drive, and more importantly (to me), even fly airplanes again!  Except I don't actually go anywhere while I'm doing it.

My 2 latest purchases, replacing my 2 year old cloud 2 wired headset as im sick to death of running over the cable with my chair all the time, and also upgrading from a slow and aging huawei Y6 2019 to this nokia 5.3 so far it is sooooo much better in every single way compared to the huawei.

lockdown has me spending all my money on expensive stuff, but eh as long as it lasts me a while then thats what matters right? 🤣

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Didn't want anything too gaudy, and I think the Crayon and black works well, with the yellow seatbelts for a tiny bit of colour.

Now here's to hoping it does arrive in May, or sometime around there. Would be nice to use it once or twice next summer.

What model were you thinking of getting? I quite like some of the 911 Targa's.

She loves the panamera (has since its debut), but has been flip flopping on whether to trade in her BMW now and get that or the Z4 and get my daughter a car when it's time. We just bought a Polaris slingshot , paid off my truck, her car and travel trailer. I wanna enjoy no vehicle notes for a couple of years.

Here's something new:

Multiply by two.

I've got 4 of these in total, but 2 of them are in my Phenom tower running alongside some 4GB DDR3 modules that I got from an Optiplex.

@ragnarok0273 these would look sick on a grater themed PC (BTW, this is not a joke). Semitransparent mesh on the side, Mac Pro-like front mesh (not the new one), Thermaltake SpinQ, ...

I have a SpinQ.
My dad got it in 2010 with a Phenom X3 and an Asus Core Unlocker board.
