It's been a minute since I've bought VHS tapes, but I found a reason to actually get some today: because they were sealed.

GN75w.png

Unfortunately, the tape window on Legends of the Fall was busted up before I got my hands on it. Oh well. Shouldn't affect playability.

Yup, these are really Apple-like upgrade prices. And everybody still keeps saying Apple is expensive when there's stuff like this around.

but you can upgrade the thinkpad ssd yourself, that is not the case on most macbooks, last time i went to put an ssd in a macbook i had to buy an adapter.

That may be so, but this semi-soldered dual-channel RAM is crap in my opinion and needs to die out. Either fully-soldered or fully changeable, not this weird in-between. This leads to some people having these odd 8+32GB configs with just 16/40GB running in dual-channel. How stupid is that?

the ram upgrade prices arent to bad, i agree its dumb but what can you do about it? (besides buying another laptop)

You buy another laptop yeah.

Or you buy a desktop computer that's a lot less portable.

Or you buy a mini PC and carry around keeb, mouse and monitor. It's not ideal.

ive seen some super thin monitors that are meant to be a portable, you could probably strap the panel to a mini itx pc with a handle, and lug it around in a back pack along with a keeb

Well, what the hell is the "configure yourself" option? You only have a single base config here (Ryzen 7 4650U, 256GB SSD and 16GB RAM DDR4-3200 soldered) and can config that to your liking.

This is the first of many big purchases I'll make in the coming weeks and months. So today I got:

  • Microsoft Xbox Series X Controller
  • Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
  • Apple Smart Keyboard for my iPad 8
  • Logitech MX Keys Plus (already got the MX Master 3 so this is the perfect addition)
  • Sony WH-1000XM4
  • Sony WF-1000XM3
  • PB Swiss Tools Insider 3 Ratcheting Screwdriver with 8 different bits for work
  • Energizer rechargeable Batteries (4x AA)
  • Xtorm USB C to lighting Cable for the iPad 8 and upcoming iPhone 12 mini
  • SanDisk microSDXC 256GB Card for my Nintendo Switch Lite
  • 2x Kingston DataTravel 70 64GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 USB sticks
  • 23x Fellowes Screen cleaning wipes (bought 50 in total, the rest will arrive in the next two weeks)
  • 4x Blackroll Pillow cases to replace my old ones

Also bought a Silverstone EBA01 Headphone stand with this order but it will arrive next week. I just finished unboxing everything and am setting the Tech up right now 👀🔥. Already made my next purchase which includes a 15 W Wireless Charging pad from Aukey for my upcoming Apple Watch SE 4G and iPhone 12 mini 64GB in Black. That purchase also includes a really great bang for my Buck printer from Epson. I also received a letter from my Bank today with my new Credit Card, it's a World Silver from Vicesca so I'll finally be able to do proper Online shopping and singing up for Services.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

Just stocking up on them incase they get unavailable again. They only now have them in stock again because Fellowes Switzerland had to stop producing them due to the Lockdown back in March. Also thanks.

i5 4590T for the folding box, I need more cores to run 2x Nvidia cards and that's the lowest watt 4 core CPU I can find for a H97 motherboard at 35W specified TDP.

2x 80mmx15mm PWM fans to replace the fans I bolted to the P106-100 folding card, current fans are too loud and inefficient with no shroud. These should run just as cool and be much much quieter.

HP Elitedesk 800 G1 motherboard to hopefully extract a working product key to upgrade my PC to Windows 10 Pro. I had bought one a while back but it didn't have a MSDM table stored in the ACPI tables for some reason, hopefully this one does! I extracted a product key from an Asus board but it's a Home key and there's a few Pro features I'd like to have available to myself.

From my local Online shop digitec galaxus here in Switzerland. You won't be able to order from it anyways since it's Switzerland and Germany only.
