I'm a weeb, I know. But I've been sleeping on the floor for 4 years now, so this is actually a huge improvement.

Spoiler

It's a shikibuton/authentic Japanese futon.

A pristine PowerBook G3 Wallstreet (13", 233MHz, 32MB, 2GB) that could pretty much have come out of its original packaging today... but came in a period-accurate laptop carry case, complete with ball mouse and a pen :D Pretty much seems it's barely ever been used.

Even the battery works and gives a good 2h of battery life 22 years later.

Replaced the 2GB hard drive (that works fine) with a 8GB CF and threw in a pair of 256MB RAM sticks I had laying around, only half of each is seen but 32 -> 256 is still quite an upgrade :P

Did a clean install of OS9.2.2, and currently trying to set up a dual boot with OSX 10.2.8.

Got a Cayin N5iis for some good audio on the move, a pair of Tin HiFi P1 and a BGVP Zero...think I'd better stop buying IEM's from now on!

Edit - I have also order a pair KBEAR copper 2.5mm MMCX balanced cable and a pair of 2.5mm QDC balanced cable incoming. The MMCX is for the Tin HiFi P1 which is pretty power hungry.

Mac OS classic is what I used most during the 90s, so yes a bit of a nostalgia trip. I'm trying to get the first programs I wrote in QuickBasic to run, but can't get QB to run on anything even on 7.5.3 on an actual 68k cpu, need yet an older OS...

BTW I "splurged" 15€ for a 266MHz processor board. The 233Mhz one I have in has no cache and is known to be a dog.

They probably forgot to mention whatever currency that was, but hopefully it's not the expected USD since such a thing would be barely worth 100 of those :)

Cheeky phone upgrade

And yes, I never use more than roughly 3GB of data.

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
