Nothing too modern, a pair of X5670's for my Z800 workstation to replace the pair of X5570's. No real need for them but gaming with 13% CPU usage is nice. Sits at around 1% usage just browing :)

Ah, but you see, phones can't scan at 2400dpi!

Hell, even 600dpi is a bit dubious.

I figured it was for a specific purpose, I was just poking fun. ?

I bought a copy of Tourist Trophy two weeks ago and it showed up today, but unfortunately, the packaging was busted and the game was fucking soaked. :(

Here's a picture of it.

ETzpq.png

On another note, @kelvinhall05 sent me an original PlayStation (well, an SCPH-9001 model), a Greatest Hits copy of Gran Turismo 2 and a couple of VeggieTales tapes! All of those arrived in good shape and the console itself works. I think I need to get some other video cables for it, however; neither of the ones I've got work with it properly.

(yes, that's the bottle of lotion that appeared in my PS2 pic about three weeks ago)

Nice, how much? I snagged a 580 a while back for $120 and felt that was a good deal at the time. Mine's the dual fan Red Devil, I like the little light up logo on it! If it's anything like my 580 it needs an undervolt to hit and maintain full boost speeds for sustained work.  I turned the GPU volts down to around 1060mv or 1055mv and have satisfactory results. At some point I need to edit that change into BIOS and flash it so it actually sticks between reboots or in Linux.

What CPU did you go with? Is your signature up to date, has it been 7 years since your last build? If so, this will be a MASSIVE upgrade! ?

I got that exact card when they came out, sold it when the mining craze hit to a buddy that needed one for a little less than what I paid for it. Didn't really feel like being and asshole and selling it for $700 like everyone else was.

Only have these parts so far for my new system. Have to buy everything a bit at a time. Will be running a 3600X with 16GB 3600mhz ram and RX 5700... eventually. :)

I had a 4770K / GTX 1070 system before the one listed in my sig a couple years back. Had to sell it when money got tight and built the FX 8350 system out of spare/used parts to get by. Nearly 2 years later and finally able to start building a new system again. Have to say though, the old FX with an RX 570 is still a surprisingly capable setup.

Also planning to get a 1440p curved 144hz display, so will need a bit more horsepower to drive it, hence, it's time for a major upgrade. ;)

For that price, brand new, I had to go for it.  It's been out of print for awhile and used market is volatile on it.

For example, GameStop sells it for $45 used, and typically with Wii U and 3DS stuff, they're fairly priced.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.
