AMD FX 8320/8350 CPU Motherboard Help

Hello. This is my first post on this forum so I'm very new to this community, almost as new as I am to PC building. Later this year, around November, I plan on building my first PC. As most are, it's going to be a gaming rig mainly.
I've been learning all I can, doing as much research as possible along side, with Linus' channel as well as NCIX and quite a few other channels on YouTube. As great as those channels might be and as much as I've been learning, I was eventually going to need more specific and personal help.

I have a pretty good idea of the majority of the components I'm going to put into this rig but, with the help of this forum hopefully, it could change from here to November.
Today the matter at hand is my motherboard, which to me seems to be the component that gives the most trouble to some people. I'm not sure what to pair an AMD 8320/8350 with, which are the two CPU options I've come down to. I've been looking at a couple of motherboards that look like good options but it's been a hard decision given that I've read people saying bad things about the Gigabyte board I will mention next.

The first board I came across is the Asus M5A97 R2.0 ( http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_R20 ) This seems to be the go-to board for AM3+ CPU for most people as I've heard it be mentioned a lot.
And then I found this Gigabyte 970A-D3SPhttp://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4591#ov ) Browsing I encountered this motherboard which seemed to me a great alternative to the Asus one at the same price.

Both have almost the same price so that really isn't the concern. They appear to be very nice mobos, some having some features the other doesn't. Personally I would incline towards the Gigabyte as I prefer the color scheme much more as well as I see some features that I find very useful (such as humidity and electrostatic protection).

My main concern is that I've heard that the Gigabyte board isn't fully compatible with the Fx 8320 and 8350 and that it would make it perform a lot worse than it should. Is this true? What are the advantages that one board has over the other? Which should I consider and why?

Where I live (Argentina) pricing and availability are always crazy, so most likely any other board you can recommend won't be easy for me to find and/or afford, but feel free to suggest other options.

Thanks in advanced.

Well I would always choose ASUS over most things. And comparing the 2 MBs you selected i would go with thr ASUS for the Fast boot and software included

The asus also has more USB 3.0 and 2.0 and has better features for diagnostic like MemOK.

More or less hands down Asus for me.

(the Gigabyte mb is offering Norton Antivirus!!! it SOOOOOOo pro that its gone bust and all its money now has been used to pay for damages to other companies.. )

if you want you can give us a Price range and other specs you want/definatly want and we can give our suggestions.

well both boards are not realy ideal for FX 8 core cpu´s, to be honnest.

I would recommend to spend a littlebit more money for a decent motherboard.

like the Asus M5A99FX pro R2.0, this board has a much better powerphase 6+2 digi + digi vrm.

If you dont care about dual gpu setups, you could also look for the Asus M5A99X evo R2.0 or Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0

ASRock Fatality 990FX Killer or an ASRock Extreme 4 is also good. I personally have a Killer and it is great for overclocking as well as has ESP, Humidity Protection, Fast Boot .etc
