BF4's starting to look like crap

I don't know why but ever since I came back to Battlefield 4 from Battlefield 3, a supposedly worse-looking game, BF4 is starting to look really blurry and crappy. Yes, I have the game set to ultra. Yes, I'm playing at 1080p. No, I'm not upgrading to 1440p from 1080p. 1080p is fine because BF3 looks great at that resolution. Even on one of the new Dragon's Teeth maps, Sunken Dragon, the water looks horrible. Isn't BF4 supposed to be a good looking game?

I have been playing both of the games a lot and i have no idea what you are talking about. BF4 looks better than BF3 in pretty much every way.

The only thing i liked better about BF3 is the maps! - I hated the blue tint so im happy it's not there anymore :)

They used better mechanism on BF4. I would still play BF4 over BF3. Both are great games.

BF4 looks better but holy crap why can't you kill anyone from more than 40 yards with anything but a sniper rifle still!! Don't get me wrong I'm horrible at BF4 compared to BF3 but I can trace my bullets. When someones in front of them no damage! (walls on buildings get the damage though?)

Well...I never thought it looked realistic, if that's what you mean. Mostly urban maps, like Siege of Shangai, look pretty good and texture quality is nice, but the geometry, even if it is way better than a bunch of games, still doesn't look so realistic to me. And that vegetation is AGES ahead of BF3, but again, it does NOT look real...just good. Water looks cartoony, except on Shangai and Lancang dam, imho. In conclusion, I think in general Bf4 is superior graphically to Bf3, but Bf3 has a more realistic atmosphere.

 

(single player cutscenes in BF4 are amazing)

Ever since I played BF4, the water actually amazed me... it is 2014, AAA title and yet the water looks like... let's just say horrible... I want to be mad, but I can't... instead, it impressed me...

 

sometimes I think I'm swimming in mercury instead of h2o...

Oh I know it's supposed to look dirty. It's the trash objects in the water that don't look like objects at all. They have no physical property and they are basically just a skin over the water. Not that good.

Actualy, BF3 has better anti-alias and good flickering control. Whereas BF4 has shitflickering (need to keep FXAA on to blure it out)

 

BF4 is still better, BF3 needs to pathc its textures (there are many that look the same no matter the texture level because they suck so much)

With the January 30 patch of Battlefield 4, ADS FOV Scaling was added in the Video Options.

Basically, you get super vision if you disable this option and run high FOVs with Iron-sights, RDS, and HOLO sights.

Everybody has it without any exceptions you just don't notice it because you never saw it on Ultra.

This bug is even in CTE.

And it's not CoD, therefore its still winning, and it looks better than CoD to boot.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

You're not even playing on Ultra.

The game has terrain decoration bug since launch that DICE still hasn't fixed.

Thanks for this! I would notice this sometimes but thought it was just the graphics not loading or something. But BF4 still looks amazing as usual and way better than BF3.

It's not on Ultra because the setting is bugged since release that's what I'm trying to explain.

To get the real Ultra setting you have to start the game on Ultra "Terrain Decoration"  then set the setting to medium/low and respawn otherwise it's not on Ultra.

And you have to do this every time you start the game which makes it really annoying.

This happens to everyone without any exceptions.

low settings, min120 fps is the way to go, fuck graphics! #pcmasterrace
