IF you are just gaming, a 290x will be the smarter choice, no way is the titan black worth the extra 450 dollars/EUR or how much the price difference is... If you want to go more professional style, a titan black will be a better choice, assuming you have the money

Titan Black will win every time, but unless you are gaming at 4k it generally isn't worth the extra money over say a 780 ti or 290x.
