Looking for a decent pair of cans.

I'm looking for a quality headset with good sound for Laptop and Phone. It should be good for editing, music, movies, YouTube, etc.

Budget is around $200 Max.

I've come across many good  headsets such as the ATH-m50x's, Marshal monitors, Sennheiser HD 500 series, but it seems many of the "promising" ones have lots of bugs and issues around forums and stuff. :(

I would prefer Over ear closed headphones but open headphones not a deal breaker.
I would prefer them to be really really flat. Also you guys may suggest headphones that might need an amp. (aunt sent me a Fioo E18, which is still in the mail...)

The headset being black would also be a huge plus as it looks much better, more professional, and looks cleaner. Again not a deal breaker but  something I would look.

Hopefully I you guys would suggest something really great! :D

Highest end beyerdynamic headphones you can get. I know the DT770s are awesome. My friend has a pair. With your fiio amp/DAC, you should be able to drive the hungrier headphones too.

Edit* maybe look at the dt880s

Hey I like coke too. Also a fan of cream soda. :)

As for headphones, I recommend Shure 440 with 840 pads. Pretty much the best neutral under $200 headphones. Another option though would be Sennheiser 380 Pro.

That's only one can but I approve the sentiment.

Sony MDR-V6 w/beyerdynamic pads or senhezzer HD 380 Pro

just add a can of pepsi for the op's pair.

for flat studio work, look into sennheiser hd280's, shure 440's, or sony mdr v6 or 7506

Will work for electronic components and parts

Because they're what you listen to when you're on the can.

or before the advent of cheap headphones you listened to your cheap radio made out of a can and screw

I like SSL's explanation more :)

Cans == Cock Alleviation Network and Systems.

How long did it take you to think of that? lol

Five minutes while masturbating furiously.
