So i have been searching and it seems like only option for my pc is a 5080  .

5070 is too weak to water cool.

5090 is a fire hazard

amd/intel are focusing on mid range.

Price is terrible, just have to suck it up I guess.

Meanwhile I'm playing the game at 1440p on an RX 6600...

The 9070 XT is weaker than an RTX 5080, sure. But more than strong enough for PoE2. That game doesn't need ultra details to enjoy.

calling a 9070xt mid range is quite interesting.. considering its in the top 10 at place 8 of best gaming gpus according to tpu. doesnt sound midrange to me

it's interesting, you want to water cool, but are worried about price,

I know this is very, extraterrestrial ideal, but what if you didn't watercool GPU? Or didn't buy watercooled GPU? unless you already have everything and would just basically remove stock cooler and add GPU block, if it's compatible? (and if not, there's nothing forcing you to buy compatible custom parts to make the GPU water cooled, that is all you)

also AMD is upper midrange, so the only downside is that it's on average 9070 XT is bit slower compared to 5070 Ti, 5070 Ti is little bit faster.

9070 XT is still faster than 2080 Ti, so the only "issue" is you're not getting something faster, but there's always going to be something faster, and your choice is either burning 12 wallets or just 4.

2080Ti has 11GB of VRAM and you're on ultrawide resolution, the 5070 that is "too weak to watercool" is already 58% faster, though it only has 1GB extra VRAM, AMD's RX 9070 XT has 16GB of VRAM and is ~94% faster than 2080Ti, which means you'd be getting almost double performance/fps, in some games, and 5GB of extra VRAM for graphics settings and your ultrawide resolution.

Then on average 5070 Ti is 5% faster than 9070 XT. And RTX 5080 is ~15% faster than 5070Ti. All of which have 16GB of VRAM.

If you're on a tighter budget, I'd say there are options, just like there are options if you want more performance upfront, but would require to spend more money upfront as well.

I mean too weak to watercool?  YES because it barely runs above 60c...

Ditch the water in my PC idea and buy the more sensible card imo.

I think it's more that they used top end.  2080ti water-cooled  owner, hard to back down to a 70 series.  They had the best gpu of that Gen.

This is just a whiny humble brag that they're going to buy a 5080.  I do it, many others do it .

5070ti exists.

But I don't by the whole too weak to water cool. It uses more watts then GPUs of yore that we used to water cool, its just we made the air coolers so much better

I would not worry at all about the fire issues with a  5090

As far as Nvidia goes, 5070 Ti is a much better value than a 5080 currently unless you can snag one of those founders cards at msrp. But the best bet is probably wait for the 24GB variants, hopefully later this year.

How about the RX 9070XT? Or the 5070ti?  Since you say the 5080 costs too much and the 5070 is too weak, the 9070XT or the 5070ti are good.
