I bought a new CPU (Ryzen 5700G), it arrived earlier than expected so I turned everything off and replaced my old one. The new one has a few bent pins already, so I fixed those the best I could and put it in. I pressed the power button and the light and fans and stuff came on for like half a second and then immediately turned off and now nothing turns on anymore. I tried putting the old one back in but it still doesn't turn on, now it doesn't even do anything. I looked this up and looked at a whole bunch of different sites and forums, etc and nothing helped. I'm asking here as a last resort because I feel like this is a specific issue that nothing else I look for can help me with. I've tried basically everything and I want to make sure that I can't do it myself before I take it to a repair shop or just buy a new motherboard or something.

Specs:

GPU: GeForce GTX 1660 Super

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G (old)

Ryzen 7 5700G (new)

RAM: 2 sticks of Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB

SSD: I can't figure it out, it's the one it came with. 256GB

I can't figure out the power supply either.

Have you tried to reset/clear the CMOS?

How come you unbend pins on a new cpu instead of RMAing it ?

Could one of those pins get stuck in the socket ?

Because they were easy to fix and I had the tools necessary. On top of that I don't have a warranty since I bought it from eBay.

I checked and none of the pins are stuck in the socket. If that was the case I wouldn't be able to swap out the CPU's and test with each one several different times, which I have done.

Is your bios up to date ? (I doubt it matters though)

(that upgrade seems underwhelming and why did you get a G cpu when using a discrete gpu ?)

It's weird nothing happens. Maybe it's a dumb mistake.

I'd disconnect everything and carefully reconnect/reseat the bare minimum. Also check connectors on psu side.

No gpu, 1 stick of Ram, no fan...

I already did everything you suggested, and it doesn't matter why I buy what I did. This is why I was hesitant to try and reach out on forums, I didn't come to get judged on what I want to use, I came so I could find out why it doesn't work and how to fix it. I don't want your opinions, I want my PC fixed.

I'm human and I have weaknesses like you do.

Still I proposed a solution. Did you hear it ?
