Enshrouded server set up on NAS/Plex box...

Now that I am off TMobile internet, I can set up an Enshrouded server on my NAS/Plex box.  TMobile didn't allow some sort of access it needed.

 

I have the Plex setup in my sig, I would like to get an Enshrouded server going but find some guides online to be a bit assumptive in knowledge. I need a toddler level explanation and step by step if possible.

 

Let me know if I am leaving anything out.

Yeah, the reason I want a toddler hand holding is that I follow this guide, get to the .bat file, and copy his instructions of:

 

@echo off
echo Checking for updates...
steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +app_update 2278520 +quit

 

Then I run the .bat file, and I get a

 

This app can't run on your PC.

 

So I am lost and he doesn't give any info if you run into that.

 

Server is Win11, btw if that matters.

FYI, in fixing the above, you can run SteamCMD.exe

 

Then do the "login anonymous"

 

Then do "app_update xxxxxxxx"

 

Not sure why it won't do it as a line like he put.

 

Doing that, there is no enshrouded server.json file

 

So, we're back at no idea what's going on and the guides are nothing more than guides without help for anything that changed or had issues.

 

Hence the help I was asking for rather than just a video or website.  Thanks tho
