Budget (including currency): CDN

Country: canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: modern gaming and some music production

Other details

Current build

Ryzen 3600

Nvidia GeForce rtx 2060s

16gb of 3000mhz ddr4

B450 DS3H wifi gigabyte MOBO

650w power supply

I want to game more on my PC but seem to have some trouble playing modern games solidly

If you could choose one or two of the cheaper/better bang for buck upgrades from this build what would you suggest?

Comparing my specs to Elden Ring nightreign it seems like my cpu may be the issue

Any info would be amazing!

yeah right now a cpu upgrade would be best, either you could upgrade the cpu or do a platform swap to AM5 it depends on your budget.

CDN ain't a budget

Easiest/cheapest good upgrade would be a 5700X3D CPU and a 9060XT/7700XT level GPU

5700X3D is very expensive tho, a 5700X (216 CAD) is  better value

What's your budget? If possible, get a Ryzen 5000 series processor and an RTX 40-50 series or Nvidia 90 series GPU. Or if you have an even larger budget, upgrade the entire system.

I dont really have a budget per say, I am just wanting to get guidance on where my money can be spent best with these components. I would say don't want to spend more than 300 total if possible.  I work in game dev so I have a PC for work but this one is for gaming, looking to just be able to sit down and not worry about my pc maybe not running things

1080 is fine but i do have a1440p 144hz monitor

I'd push that GPU, but 300rubles ain't gonna get much. Maybe stack cash for a couple months and get a nice 3080?
