Hey everyone!

After a lot of research I still can't find out if I can mixmatch the pcie cables out of the box and the type 4 gen 4 I ordered from Corsair. From the outside cables seem different. Also on the PSU side the empty pin is on another spot. Some people say I can mixmatch them some swear not to.. Can somebody please help?

Thanks in advance!

What Type 4 cable did you order from Corsair?

A dual 8-pin to 16-pin cable or something else?

Are all the other cables (excluding this one you ordered afterwards) from that exact PSU?

That top row with 3 pins in the connector is all +12V. PCIe only has 3x 12V wires which is why one is empty. It doesn't matter which of those pins are populated, that whole row is all 12V on the PSU.

As long as the cable is Corsair Type 4 it will work with the Corsair RMe.

Yes everything else is out of the box!

That's the one I ordered:

Premium Individually Sleeved PCIe Cables (Single Connector) Type 4 Gen 4 – Black

Thanks, I already saw that and the 1000w is missing for some reason.. Didn't want to take a risk!

Hmm weird indeed, but RMe 1000 is like the others RMe

So I am able to mixmatch them right? Because I need 3 Pcie and I have 2 out of the box and 2 that I ordered.

Mixmatch as in Corsair Type 4 to another Corsair Type 4, yes.

Example, I can give you PCIe cables from my HX1000 and/or RM1000x (2024) and you can use it fine, since mine also a Corsair Type 4 cable. Likewise if you give me yours.

Thanks guys! My GPU has been sitting on its box for more than a week and finally I got a clear answer!

Let it sit for 2 more months. It needs time to ferment well.

Welcome to the forums!
If you have a multimeter (or even really a continuity tester which you can make with a battery and an LED), you can always answer this for yourself with a bit of googling. You just need the desired pinout and the source pinout.
