i'm considering upgrading my GPU because i'd like to have a more streamlined linux driver experience, but also want a small upgrade since the 3080 goes slightly below my refresh rate in 3440x1440 in some games. I'm worried that the power draw will cause issues, but of course didn't know. So i came here to ask.

everything here is my current build except for the GPU.

You have a reliable Corsair RM1000x.. It will easily handle your 13700k and a 9070 XT 馃槃

The 9070 XT draws about 20-30w more than a 3080.

I planned on running a 5090 with my own RM1000x.

I see, thanks! It's just i know sometimes because a PSU is rated gold, it doesn't always mean it's good or it won't crash, etc. So i had my concerns, nonetheless, thank you!

Understood 馃檪聽You are right in thinking that, the gold rating is just a rating of聽efficiency and not a rating of quality.

That being said, most 80+gold rated PSU are good.

The RM1000x 2021 model is a A+:Tier PSU, its top of the line.聽 It doesn't get better than this.

There will be absolutely no problems running your 13700k and 9070 XT, game as much as you want.

We like to use the updated PSU Tierlist to check PSU's.聽
