Budget (including currency): Max 400€, I prefer if it's less.

Country: Italy

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Beamng.drive, heavily modded minecraft, FHD streaming, FHD editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

My current PC:

I5-6500

16G 2166 ddr4

h110 mb

GTX 1070

400w non-modular psu

atx mid tower case

I am thinking something like this?

We keep your case and the GTX 1070.  This will upgrade the CPU, RAM, Motherboard and power supply.

Upgrading the RAM to 32GB and faster speed due to modded Minecraft etc.

I dont know how old that 400w non modular PSU and I am guessing its not a very good unit ( I dont know for sure of course ).

Maybe you can find out exactly what PSU you have, that would be cool.

So I want you to have a new PSU as well.

The PSU you probably do not know, as I bought it in South Korea, and it is very old without an 80+ rating.

Yes, It's the Windows 10 support.

You don't need a upgrade for that reason. You can still use Win10 after support drops, or just go to Win11.

Upgrade for performance you're not getting and want/need.

A bit on the higher side of pricing, but here's a build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Q3HTxg

You keep your GPU and case because those would overdo the budget.

ps. If you have an HDD, turn that into an SSD for the boot drive.

I have made an initial part list. As you can see, it is slightly over-budget, but I really do not want to use an matx motherboard in an atx case, so would there be some options for a cheap atx m/b?

I want a 1tb ssd with it, as I am encountering a serious storage problem

So if I add an SSD to that build (~$70 for DRAM SSD, $50 for DRAM-less), the price will be too high?

Good opportunity to switch to Linux as well.. Looks like Beamng can only work in experimental mode tho 😮

I'm also on Win10 and ain't worried at all with the end of "support" (which is in reality buggy updates lol)

I'm hanging onto my current Windows 10 gaming PC until CES 2026 when new Ryzen stuff should come out. Personally, I don't have the spare time to scrounge around for parts as I used to.

I'll probably just buy a decent mini PC to make more room on my desk with 32GB DDR5 and an iGPU that's more powerful than my 8GB Radeon RX 580.
