9070 or 9070XT for 1080P?

9070 XT is only 12% faster but 25% more expensive (yeah yeah I rounded 599 to 600 for simplicity) and with proper tuning such as an undervolted you can close the gap even more so the difference is >=12% in reality
The 9070 for 600 imho would be a far better deal than a 9070xt for 750 especially for 1080p where the GPU is as much of a super critical factor compared to 1440p

ok so i have a 100 watt gold rated psu a 7800X3D and a 27 inch monitor with a native screen res of 1080p 144hz i can get a new in box 9070 for $599 or a 9070XT for $750 if im gaming at 1080p with almost all my games set to high or ultra is the extra $150 worth it for the 9070XT or no?

@Blasty Blosty yeah sorry 1000 watt seasonic gold rated pre pcie 3.0 psu from 2019 and no plan to stay at 1080p 144hz for another 6+ years

Then probably just stick with the 9070, if that $150 is a decent amount for you and would be better spent elsewhere

Go with the 9070 and spend the rest on upgrading the monitor to 1440p.

@Blasty Blosty given the fact that my 360mm aio is also from 2019 i think the money i save on the 9070 can be used for a new cooler ty

Just get a thermalright peerless assasin 120! 35$ and a GREAT cooler. Handles all but the most power inneficient intel cpus like a champ and no need to worry about it dying due to a dead pump

As for the gpu 9070 is heaps good and its really up to you if the extra bit of performance would be worth the money. Personally its a no.

Often you can also find a 7900xtx for less than the 9070xt now and well that percormance is the same so have a look there too.
