Budget (including currency): Already know what i want

Country: Czech Republic

Hi, so, i want to build new PC this year, already have everything picked up, but i need one advice, im currently using Fractal Design Torrent Nano case and i will re-use it for my new build, but since its smaller case, i was wondering if 120mm AIO could be better for ryzen 7 9700x, or if i should just get some good air cooler.

My current PC was built on budged, so i have the stock AMD cooler on my ryzen 5 5600. Also i got that pc case for free, and i love how it looks and how small it is, will appreciate every helpul reply c: .

Mid-size air is good enough for the 9700X

AIOs are just a hassle and 120mm should be a crime

Ryzen 7 5700X3D (CO) w/ cheap 6-pipe cooler - AX370-Gaming 5 - Vengeance LPX 2x16GB @3800C18 2R - EVGA RTX 3070 8G XC3 PX1  - old Sharkoon case

i5-4690K + Z97-AR + Panram Blue DDR3 2800 2x4GB Lightsaber Blue

iMac 21.5" (late 2011) : i5-2400S - Samsung 4x4GB PC3-1333 - HD 6750M 512MB - cheap Winten SSD (MacOS High Sierra) - 1920x1080@60 LCD

Acer Z5610 "Theatre" Core 2 Quad Q9550 - 2x2GB PC3-1333 (Samsung) - 1920x1080@60Hz Touch LCD - great internal speakers

A dual tower air cooler will be significantly better than a little 120mm AIO.

I personally cool my overclocekd 9800X3D with a Dual Tower AK620 with a constant low fan speed of 30%.

Same when I had my 7700x, plenty enough to keep my CPU's cool while gaming with little to no noise.

Also air cooling is far more reliable.

The Torrent Nano will accomodate tower coolers up to 165 mm tall. Which means an excellent cooler like the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE can be used. It, along with many other dual tower coolers easily outperform 120 AIO.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Airs are good enough for a 9700X. Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120SE is good for even a Ryzen 9. AIOs that size don't help a whole lot.

AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600g w/ Radeon Graphics | 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM | 256GB NVME SSD + 2TB HDD | Amazon Basics 2.0 Speakers

They're a hassle?   If you can build a PC, an aio is easy as any other part.

Much easier than some sur coolers with shitty center balancing bullshit like the 212 Evo.

Yes, 120mm is only super sff builds. Otherwise air til 360mm

I'd rather use air over worrying about leaks or a dead/worn out pump lol

The worst that could happen to a tower cooler is a dead fan. Cheap to replace.
