PC Monitor Has Difficulty ''Waking Up'' After Going To ''Sleep''..........

hi,

i got a entry-level 24'' Samsung monitor and i will set it to turn off automatically after 2 minutes under ''Power & Sleep'' .........no problems for over 1 year but lately the monitor will not display anything until i press repeatedly on the keyboard's ''Enter'' and ''Spacebar'' and also clicking on the mouse repeatedly........

is this issue a fault due to the monitor or some other causes ?

Probably software/OS related.

many thanks.............i noticed the problems did went away after i restarted the PC each time (i put my PC to sleep each night and never power off for 1-2 weeks before each restart)..............
