VERY LAGGY EXPERIENCE IN APEX/ MONITORS?

So i have a 3080 and a i7 12th gen and 32 gb ram, but whenver i play apex at 240 hz it feels smooth like 1:1 response, but whenver i switch to 144 hz it feels sluggish? its weird cause i used to run 144 hz and it felt like the 240 hz? it  cant be this much of a difference? and whenver i use someone else computer who has 144 hz, it feels the same as my 240 hz but when i use my 144 hz, it feels slow and sluggish not like my friends? I need help fixing this issue
