I have a dying T630 8-bay version and as far as i know its not easily possible to swap in one of the larger bays.

This is mainly because the drive cage in the front is riveted in instead of screws, so 5.25" bays might be your best option...

I got to check out a T620 from work a couple months ago that was a 16-bay version and it was the same case there, also riveted in.
I dont have the chassis anymore sadly.

Instead if you need more than 8 id recommend to either get those bay adapters, get another secondhand T620/T630 chassis with more drive cages or if you know how to change the fan profiles, go for a R720/R730XD which has the option for space for 24 2.5" drives in the front.

Me myself my T630 is starting to get weird issues, so im planning to replace it with either a R730XD or a DIY NAS

One of the memory slots is dead (B1), random exceptions during UEFI pre-boot, one of the boot drives is starting to fail, the fans are resonating with the cabinet its on (i can only run it in my bedroom, limited space) so i cant keep it running 24/7, i cant even keep it plugged in because the PSU fan bearings have gone bad and make a shit tonne of noise, and the drives i have for it are 600GB Dells from 2016 with....questionable life left in them.

Its due for replacement, and for me not worth it to replace all individual parts, which i can better invest in a newer system anyway
