Was wondering how much the front mesh actually obstructs airflow. 

For a while I'll only have 1 fan in the front for a 250W GPU and a 100W CPU and wonder if it's better to leave off that mesh or if it doesn't do anything

The dust filter insert? or the front panel?

 

Filter usually reduce airflow a lot, since it's holes are tiny.

If dusts is not an issue, take the dust filter off and the airflow will improve
