Hello~

I'm planning to build a new PC soon, and I’d like some advice. Assuming the total cost(under my budget) is about the same, which setup would be the wiser choice?

  1. RTX 5070 Ti + 27" QHD OLED monitor with 240Hz, or

  2. RTX 5080 + 27" QHD IPS monitor with 180Hz

For context, I mostly play RPGs rather than FPS games. Thanks in advance for your input!

Thank you for your valuable feedback. Additionally, here are the specifications for each of the graphics cards and monitors.

Depends on the specs of the IPS, but I think the OLED is better.

AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600g w/ Radeon Graphics | 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM | 256GB NVME SSD + 2TB HDD | Amazon Basics 2.0 Speakers

I will take a good Nano-IPS / Fast IPS monitor over a cheap OLED monitor.

It really depends on the monitors you have in mind.

I personally don't like going OLED for computer monitors because I feel like you are setting yourself up for having to deal with burn in eventually. Sure they look nice, but I just don't like the anxiety factor of it all.

I would suggest you find a store that has display models of monitors and browse around for a good IPS.

These are both very high refresh rates for games that don't rely on fast reaction times.

You won't be able to see an aesthetic difference, once you're that high above 144Hz the difference is just in how fast the information is getting to your brain. It won't look any prettier.

5080 with the IPS panel is my recommendation. Higher tier graphics card for better graphics will trump faster refresh rate, and a quality IPS panel won't exactly be a big step down from a good OLED panel.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

5070Ti + good IPS.

No need for a 5080 with a 1440p RPG gaming.

5080 is only 10% faster than a 5070ti, and if you play rpg then ips is the cheaper/better pick, the colors other than black will even look better compared to the oled, my recommendation is the xiaomi gpro27i vs whatever you have in mind.
