Well, i tried to put more performance into my computer by adding more LEDs (kidding!).

I got a Commander Core XT hub that is managing my 13 fans (leds and speed), i managed to get a hold on a few splitter cables to connect all of them to the Commander core xt (this to avoid having both armory crate and icue, i prefer icue).

Got leds and fans working like a charm except for 2 things: my EZ GPU Bracket (with an adapter to ARGB) and the frontal case led of my Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO. If i use the ARGB connection in my TUF Gaming X670e, both leds fully light up (Bracket and Case) BUT if i use a converter to plug them into my Commander Core XT, only 1/3 of the RGB lights up, meaning 1/3 of my GPU Bracket lights up and 1/3 of the case frontal led lights up. Again, using the ARGB header on the board, they fully light but using the commander core xt, not even half. Even if i disconnect multiple fan leds and only connect the bracket and case leds, same result.

Any ideas, my fellow dudes? Is it doable or it's probably a "no-no"? I did not like signalRGB and openRGB, too much configurations and my sensores were not showing up.

Thanks in advance!

There might be too much resistance in the bracket for the ARGB signal. The fan, I wouldn't expect that problem, but it's still possible.

If you plug the fans into the motherboard and only use a program like openRGB temporarily, does the color stay put?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

My fans work fine, either plugged to the MB or the Commander Core XT. The problem is with the GPU bracket and the case frontal led strip. One thing i did not try after connecting the bracket & case led was to "force" a resync with the "M" button. From what i read, this forces the synchronization with the rest of the system. Will try tomorrow.

  • 2 weeks later...

Well...after so many "switches" between RGB ports i think i might have burnt a port. Correction, not might, i have one port that has no RGB lighting (tested the same cables on different ports, lights of one, no lights on the other). I checked the fuses (at leasts the ones identified as fuses) and nothing was blown, i have continuity.

I'm posting the pics in case someone can help.

What i have tried:

- Fuses F8-F13 all OK;

- Measuring pins on the affected port (port 1) 5V and Ground i do get 5V;

- The capacitor near the port does have a strang behaviour, while the others do float around 2V-3V, this one is always at 5V (no voltage dip like nothing is connected to the port);

- The fans are all OK and the other RGB ports are also OK, no issues whatsoever;

I have OCD and this cr*p is giving me an headache. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've sync gave up the idea of syncing Case + Gpu Bracket. But, after tring to plug everything onto commander core xt i noticed my LED1 port stopped working...something must have fried from the testing of the bracket and case leds. Any idea on how to fix? I have a multimeter, soldering iron (+ some skills) but no schematics and little practice on how to troubleshoot something that is not obviously burnt.

well i think you have to look up each part and use the multimeter to see if it works but that's beyond me. i would just not use port one.

gl finding a schematic. i no people have recreated it using and arduino but also have no idea...
