new motherboard issue or cpu?

ey folk! i think i might have an issue with my motherboard. previously i was having issues with (xmp or the am5 version of it wouldnt work unless i disabled memory context restore or increased cl from 30 to 32.) today though, i had another issue even more damning.. i updated my chipset and rebooted the pc, then it wouldnt boot. everything inside the pc would run but no power to mouse keyboard and no post on monitor. had to do a soft restart on the bottom on the case then it would boot. what the hell do i even do now?

things ive tried:

reseating everything.

cry.

clear cmos.

cry.

try one stick o ram at a time.

my specs are:

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo - 32GB: 2x16GB

Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX Wifi6

I'm having a similar issue too with my PC and would like some help. Although I don't know what started this issue, when you say soft restart do you mean like force shutdown?

oh yea we have a somewhat similar issue. is your pc new?

Nah I bought mine second hand, but apparently the guy had this problem when he got it new.
