I've been having an issue on a new PC build where whenever I put the new PC to sleep, instead of waking up and resuming where I had left off, the entire PC would restart.

I looked into my event viewer log and found that everytime I would wake the PC up from sleep it would encounter the Kernel Power 41 error.

What would be the next step for solving this issue? All my drivers are also up to date.

The mobo is ASUS ROG STRIX B850 on a fresh new windows 11 install (on a NVME m.2) Ryzen 7 9800X3D and DDR5 ram

I have also tried disabling "fast startup" but to no avail.

Welcome to the forums!!!

Is PBO enabled? If you have a negative offset on the curve optimizer it can cause this. Run core cycler and see if you have any cores that fail. Is BIOS up to date?

PBO is not enabled. Will be updating BIOS later today once my usb arrives. Would an unupdated BIOS cause this issue?

There could be fixes to the problems you're experiencing as they have been pushing updates every couple months to alleviate any issues. Which ASUS ROG STRIX B850 do you have as there appears to be a couple different variants? B850-A...-G, -E, -F etc.

Ah ok. I see there are notes stating that they enhance system performance for 9950X3D and 9900X3D (Version 1022), but also even Version 1066, the latest, also states "Enhanced system performance and stability" so I'd suspect there to be an improvement.

So I've updated the Bios and I'm still having the same issue. Opened the PC up to and double checked all the connections as well. What else could possibly be the problem?

Hey sorry for the late reply, I was away for the weekend.

So I see in the log files you shared a crash for 062025-16093-01.dmp and running any analysis on it, it says there was a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f). Are all the appropriate drivers installed for CPU, chipset, motherboard such as wifi, bluetooth, audio, network etc., graphics, storage?

This has to be a hardware issue with either CPU/motherboard/RAM.

Its alright, also thanks a million for helping out. I saw that the chipset needed an update and went ahead and updated it but I'm still having the same issue unfortunately. CPU, chipset, everything on the mobo (myasus + the bios) are all up to date.
