🖥️ System Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7975WX Pro

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte TRX50 Top AI

  • GPU: ASUS ROG RTX 4090

  • RAM: G.Skill DDR5 ECC 128GB (4×32GB) @5600MHz

  • SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 4TB ×2

  • Cooling: be quiet! Silent Loop 2 AIO

  • PSU: Seasonic PRIME TX-1000W (Titanium-rated)

⚠️ Issue Description:

After a power outage, my PC began experiencing a boot loop with debug code 61 on the motherboard. Here’s what happens:

  1. System powers on normally.

  2. The Windows loading circle appears.

  3. After a few seconds, the PC restarts automatically.

  4. On reboot, the motherboard shows Q-Code 61, then reboots again.

  5. This loop repeats indefinitely — Windows never loads fully.

🧪 Troubleshooting Steps Already Tried:

  • Cleared CMOS using the rear I/O button.

  • Re-flashed the BIOS using Q-Flash Plus with:

    • The latest BIOS version.

    • An older stable BIOS version.

    • Both flashes completed successfully, but the issue persists.

  • Removed and reseated components:

    • GPU, RAM, SSDs, power connectors, etc.

  • Tried booting with minimal setup (1 stick of RAM, no SSDs).

  • Tested each RAM stick individually in different slots.

🔍 Request for Support:

I suspect the issue may be caused by corrupted firmware, incomplete memory training, or a BIOS-related fault triggered after the power outage. The code 61 seems to relate to NVRAM or PCIe initialization, but I need confirmation.

Could you please provide:

  • The exact meaning of Q-Code 61 on the TRX50 Top AI?

  • Any additional recovery steps beyond Q-Flash?

  • Whether this error could result from corrupted bootloader or firmware?

  • If a full BIOS recovery or EC reset is possible?

Thank you for your support.

Unplug your pc and hold the power button for a few seconds then remove the cmos battery on your motherboard for 10+ minutes. Do you have any spare pc parts that you can test with one at a time?
