I for, the life of me, cannot install this driver. It doesn't come up in a compressed format and it does in an uncompressed format but says no network drivers found. When I copy the raw compressed zip and transfer it to a usb, it won't copy all the properties. What can I do to help this?

Start with linking what you downloaded and from where so we have a chance at helping.

Also what hardware this driver is for.

I just extracted the ZIP and it gave me this EXE to run.

Double clicking it starts the installer immediately (and now i have realtek wifi drivers installed on my system, fantastic)

Why are you copying it to USB? Just run the .exe file on your PC

What do you mean the properties aren't being copied to the USB?

If you drag the file from the PC you downloaded it on to a USB and then wait for it to copy and unplug the USB drive and then put it in the new PC what happens?

Can you drag the zip from there do the desktop of the new PC and extract the exe file?

What filesystem is the flash drive formatted with, and what OS are you using on the other machine to download the drivers?

Yeah, so are you getting the .exe when you extract it? I assume you're grabbing the correct driver for the windows version you are running

Well 2 of the same usb appears, I install the drove to them and they don't show up or say "properties won't apply" or something like that when I copy it so its meaningless. Im losing hope here I've had this thing building across 3 days, its wearing me down 🥲

The new PC hasn't reached the desktop yet as I need the drivers to get there to then reach the desktop and I put my windows key.

That's because the thing expects unpacked drivers, not an installer.

I need to click next on the connection bit.

On that screen hit shift-F10, that'll open a command prompt. Type explorer and enter, that should open a normal explorer window where you can go to your usb drive and run the installer.

Check google for creating a Local Windows 11 account rather than signing into an online one. You don't need to use an online account.
