So, built my pc a few years ago, and have always had some issues with it just randomly freezing for a short period of time.

As of currently my build is as follows.

ASROCK x670e

Ryzen 9 7900x

Corsair Vengeance RGB 5200mhz

Evga ftw3 3070ti

corsair 1000 watt power supply

2 1TB Samsung 990 Pro M.2 SSDs

Windows 11

Wifi will disconnect for a second, screen will tear. Total pc latency shoots up to 1000+ ms, wireless devices will connect and disconnect. All of this happens instantaneously. And I’ve just played through it for a while but, I’m done. I’ve tried everything. Drivers always kept up to date. Bios always flashed. Reinstalled windows, completely wiped my pc. Tried with and without overclocking both the cpu and gpu. Ran in both xmp or the base speed of 4800mhz. And it was doing this with my previously before I upgraded 90% of my pc. The only thing I still have from my original parts is the GPU. I’m truly at a loss. And if you can think of anything to help I’m more than willing to try.

When you say drivers... you mean chipset drivers and BIOS as well?

Firmware on the 990's?

If truly the only thing the same is the GPU... then there is a driver issue with it, or it's faulty.

Chipset, bios, everything and anything. Haven’t tried a firmware update on the 990’s but I can give that a try. Firmware on everything else is up to date though. I agree it’s probably gpu but what would cause it to mess with the usb devices I have connected. I know it’s very probably that it is based off the latency and glitchiness but some other aspects just don’t add up to it being that in my mind.

does it happen if you remove your gpu and use your cpus integrated graphics?

I have my integrated graphics running my second monitor. As far as I can tell there’s tearing on there too but I haven’t been able to find any stress tests or anything to run on the integrated graphics that manages to replicate the issue. I could definitely try just using the integrated graphics for a while and seeing if there’s a difference.

Have you always run your iGPU along with your GPU?  What happens when just the dedicated GPU is used?

I don’t see my reply even though I sent it but no I haven’t always used my igpu. Just recently over the last couple of months. Prior to that it was just my GPU

Updated the ssd firmware, didn’t change anything but did notice my write speed on the one was about 400MB/s slower. Not sure if that’s cause for concern but it seems to do it no matter what ssd the game is installed on so.

Tried this but it’s hard to get a good idea if it did much as running it under load gives pretty poor performance on the GPU side so maybe it worked? But when I tried to play games after a little stress test with my gpu plugged back in I paid close attention to my second monitor when my issue arose and it’s definitely both monitors.
