Shout out to AMD for sponsoring this video and being a great partner! Check out their latest offerings at https://lmg.gg/ntgmd

Alex and the team took an old fire truck and turned it into a full-blown Dolby Atmos theatre on wheels, complete with 27 speakers, dual subwoofers, and an integrated gaming setup. It's way more than just a ridiculous idea... it actually sounds amazing. Featuring high-end KEF gear, AMD-powered gaming, and some questionable decisions along the way, this may be the most insane AV install we've ever done.

How did you guys turn the laptop into Android carplay

I worked on this and can help a bit here 🙂

You can download Android Studio which has some components for emulating Android Auto on the computer for development purposes.  The specific components were "Android Auto API Simulators" and "Android Auto Desktop Emulator".  Along with that, you need to turn on developer mode on your phone in both Android and in Android Auto (yes, it is in two different places).  Once that's done, start a head unit server for Android Auto on your phone, then use ADB (android debug bridge) to connect your phone to the computer.  Redirect some TCP ports with ADB, run the desktop-head-unit from your Android Auto emulator components, and you're up and running!

This video does a pretty decent job of walking you through the steps, though some of the screens look slightly different in Android Studio since it's from a few years ago.

"It is time to move on though"

damn, the algorithm only showed me this like last weekend, this seems wayyyy too soon he only has like 2 videos.
At this rate Elijah is next ig

Also, I'm surprised there is very little hate for you guys just straight up drilling holes through a firetruck like that. seems very bold to have holes in your roof of a truck that like, sprays water everywhere and can also be subject to rain, should have used rivnuts or something

Put a gigantic screen where the windshield is, and it's foldable, so you can fold it away. Then it'll be the true theater!
