Hello everyone, noticed I was getting a power draw on my 5070ti of around 203w on Cyberpunk and even lower at certain games (for example Ready or Not is at around 180w). This seems to be getting a good chunk less powerdraw then youtube benchmarks at the same settings. Not sure if the issue is the power supply or motherboard because my cpu, the 7600x seems to get a normal max power draw at 108w. Pretty sure it's not the gpu that's at fault because I had similar issues when the system had a 9070xt. Wondering if I'm just paranoid or this isn't normal. Specs are as follows:

Specs:
MSI SHADOW GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
Ryzen 5 7600x
ASUS B650M-A Prime AX II Motherboard
G.Skill 16GB DDR5 6000 Ram
XPG CORE Reactor II VE 750W, Black, 80 Plus Gold PSU

Well if you mean that your 7600x is getting 108W while gaming that would mean that you are CPU bottlenecked.

Even if the gpu is at 99% utilization?

According to all of the reviews that I found, you are getting higher Watt use on the CPU than others, I guess you have it maxed out as well? If that is the case, you are in the golden zone of perfect gpu and cpu use which is sort of unbelievable.

Can you share some useage screenshots? That will help nail down any issues that there might be.

Well known fact that 5000 series often pulls very little power @ max performance...

Hint:  less power usage = better 😉

The problem is that the 5070 ti should be closer to 300w when 100% in games, not 200w.

riva tuner statistic won't recognize my gpu for some reason after i turned off the igpu. I've been using open hardware monitor to track the watts and usage which is a little hard to take a full screenshot of. Funny enough I just opened inzoi and I was getting around 50% gpu usuage and 63% cpu usage which I don't believe to be ideal. I should also note I'm still playing on 1080p because I'm waiting for Prime Day to get a good 1440p monitor deal haha.

You are very likely cpu bound. A 5070 Ti is overkill for most 1080p games. A 7600x just won't be able to feed it enough frames. If you want to see the power use go higher, set the game to 4K

oh interesting, most 1080p benchmarks showed the 5070ti still using like 240ish watts so i thought there was something off about my results. ill test again whenever i get a 1440p monitor during prime day

People who benchmark use CPU's that are much faster than yours specifically for this reason. They don't want to bottleneck the GPU in any way.

yea no i get that, just feel like the power consumption is still crazy low sometimes. Like marvel rivals only pulling 80-100w.

What does your cpu look like when that is running? It's not shown.
