Welcome to the forum! Looks like only one warehouse unless something has changed?

The lowest shipping option is used so why the price is what it is is down to the carrier being used.

Given Linus mentions presence of a US warehouse for shipping and given that whatever products US customers buy from US should be shipped from there, why are shipping costs still high?

Because they likely dont ship at a volume that allows them to get a good deal on shipping.  For example the company I work for has 13 warehouses in the US. Our warehouse here in the Detroit area does maybe 200 to 300+ boxes a day. Thats just that location and not the others. UPS and Fedex know they are going to get paid from doing our business, so they cut us a better deal.

On the other side of that, we have a whole department (Transportation) whose job it is to ensure we are choosing the cheapest option, as most orders $99 or more have free shipping. For example for larger orders 15 boxes + or ones that weight more than lets say 200 or 300 lbs they might look at shipping via a trucking company. LMG doesnt do any of that. From my understanding they outsourced their shipping to some company.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

IIRC (so could be wrong), its not warehouse in a sense where they would constantly store stock of anything. Main warehouse is still in Canada. But before recent changes in global shipping, all orders were routed through US warehouse because it was cheaper and quicker than doing them from Canada internationally. So warehouse in US is only intermediate point is the chain. It doesn't effect US shipping pricing, but does for international customers, driving prices lower than what they should be otherwise (something which escapes very often when people complain about international shipping).
