Do'nt know how to best optimize my pc for gaming

i tend to get stable fps at times but then the system slows down and i get a lot of frame drops and drops in performance and I am wondering what I can do to get the most out of my PC gamingwise

 

My specs are;

Asus RTX 4060

intel i5 12400f

16 gig DDR 4

and I am not too sure what my motherboard is( would appreciate it if someone could help me find out ty)

Use something like CPU-Z, it'll give basic information, including your motherboard and also your RAM speed.

 

You should also mention which games you're talking about and the settings you're using for them, like screen resolution. Maybe use something like MSI Afterburner or Intel PresentMon to have basic stats like frame rate, CPU and GPU usage.
