Budget (including currency): $1000 USD

Country: Indonesia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Primarily gaming — the most demanding title I plan to play is Monster Hunter Wilds. I also do some programming.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I'm upgrading from a Ryzen 5 5600G system. I already have a monitor, mouse, and keyboard, so I don't need peripherals — just the main components (CPU, GPU, motherboard, RAM, PSU, and case). I’m aiming for smooth 1080p gaming in 2025, ideally with high settings and good future-proofing.

Current Plan / Preferences:

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 (AM4) (currently using in my PC)
I understand this isn’t the latest AM5 platform, but I prefer putting more of my budget toward the GPU for better gaming performance. That said, I’m open to other suggestions if they make sense for long-term value.

RAM: 32GB
Storage: 1TB Samsung 980 EVO M.2

PSU: Currently i have 650W PSU. but i can upgrade it according to the builds

Available GPU options in my area:

  • RTX 4060 8GB

  • RTX 4060 Ti 8GB

  • RTX 3060 12GB

  • RTX 4070 (unfortunately out of budget)

  • RTX 5060 8GB

  • RTX 5060 Ti

I know i should consider AMD graphic card, but sadly in my country/city im in right now AMD graphic card is currently out of stock. But i still open to AMD GPU suggestion i can probably buy it online.

What I Need Help With:

  • Which GPU would be the best value for 1080p gaming in 2025 (especially considering VRAM)?

  • Will the Ryzen 5 5600G bottleneck any of the GPUs listed above?

  • Recommendations for motherboard, RAM, PSU, and case that work well with this setup and stay within the $1000 budget.

  • Any general tips or things to watch out for when building a PC — this is my first full build!

Thanks in advance for your advice and help!

For 1080p gaming (with VRAM fears), the 9060XT is your best bang for buck most likely.

What are prices for the 9060XT (when it gets back in stock) and 5060Ti for you?

Are you using a 5600 or 5600G?

Im using 5600G for the processor, i know AM4 is not future proof but i can upgrade it if it bottle neck my GPU.

for Zotac 5060Ti 16GB is around 500USD
i found a Gigabyte 9060XT 16GB around 450USD
actually im still quite unsure to choose between Nvidia/Radeon, i heard that nvidia has this dlss and fram gen to help with out performace and all.

Fuck no.

The 5060Ti and 9060XT will both run on 650w PSU.  Don't get a very weak 3060.

I mean, if you want to look at 9070 or 5070 as well, they will fit in your budget.

I'd definitely look at a 5600 as a replacement for that 5600G, as the naming is misleading.  It's not a 5600 level APU.

5600 or 5700X3D if pricing makes sense

5060Ti

Maybe more RAM or storage

You have a decent budget for bringing the machine to the next level.

Please note that you don't need to go into depth about who makes the chips on a card or voltage this or that, or whatever.  Look at end result performance, as it all trickles down.

You don't care who makes the piston rods in your engine in your car, do you?  No, you care about power, performance, gas mileage, maintenance, etc.

Should fit in 16jt and if not you can just cut the nvme to 1tb and yeah 3090 will completely obliterate the 5060ti 16gb considering the 3080 already beats the 5060ti 16gb

Though whats your current pcs specs? If you prefer to not max your budget out i can probably figure out a good upgrade within 6-7jt
