Aorus B850i pro don't start, cpu only led blinks twice

Hello,

 

I have tried troubleshooting this problem using the forum posts here but no luck so far. My MB, an Aorus B850i pro with a AMD 9700x doesn't want to start. When I plug in the powersupply the CPU led blinks twice and the CPU fan spins very briefly. After that nothing when I push the power button or use a screwdriver to short the PW pins on the FS header. All the components are new so I'm afraid something is DOA but I don't have any replacement part here to troubleshoot the problem any further. I did do the bios Q flash but nothing changed after that. 

 

Any tips on what it could be are very welcome.

Check the CPU 8-pin connector on the top-left of the motherboard.

Check the fan cable/header for the CPU cooler.

 

What GPU are you using?

I don't recall, but I believe for my Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice motherboard, the iGPU was not enabled by default - if you are using the iGPU at the moment.

 

Ryzen 9700X should be supported out-of-the-box.

Which version BIOS did you try to flash, using the USB Q-Flash Plus feature?

 

When you say the CPU LED blinks twice, are you talking about the Debug LEDs on the top-left corner of the board?
