Laptop with bright screen

Hi all,

I'm looking for some help finding a suitable replacement for my laptop.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 7i 2 in 1. It has an i5-1335U, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. It is completely fine for my workload (details below). However, I do a lot of field work and the screen is borderline unusably dim outdoors, even on cloudy days. Even in bright rooms I find it a bit dim for comfort.

My usual workload is pretty light:

Web browsing, email, online accounting software
Word processing / Excel
Light web development
Occasional work in Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher
Occasional media consumption

What I like about my current laptop:

Large 16" screen (requirement)
Backlit keyboard with numpad (requirement, no external keypad)
Good screen contrast (strongly preferred)
Touchscreen (nice to have)
Folding screen (nice to have)

My previous laptop was a ThinkPad X1 Carbon. I loved everything about it except the screen was too small and I need the numpad.

I'm hoping to find a good deal on something used on eBay but am open to buying something new if there's, like, an absolutely perfect fit.

I can't reccomend a specific model as the one I used was from the windows 8 era, but I was impressed with the dell rugged laptop I used back then. It had a "daylight readable" display and it did do quite well. Build quality overall was nice and it had a carry handle. No need for a protective laptop bag.

I did a quick search and found a Latitude 5420 Rugged who's spec sheet claims 1000 nits brightness, which is considerably more than my current gaming laptop's 300 nits.

They're a little old at this point but do meet the min specs for windows 11. Dell has plenty of newer models to look through though
