GPU powers up, fans work, image shows, but won't show in Task Manager or AMD Adrenaline...

Had a thunderstorm today and liughtning struck in our neighborhood.  Power cut off for a few minutes, but came back on.

 

Now the 7900XTX is acting oddly.

 

GPU fans spin

GPU LEDS work

Monitor gets image from GPU

 

iGPU is disabled in BIOS

 

GPU does not show in Task Manager

GPU does not show in AMD Adrenaline, it says I don't have right drivers for the AMD GPU installed

GPU shows in Device Manager, as disabled (I think because I did so Windows wouldn't load drivers)

 

I don't understand what is happening, as it seems to be producing an image on the level of an iGPU but since the 7800X3D iGPU is disabled in BIOS... wouldn't I get NO image if the 7900XTX is dead?

 

Any help would be appreciated.  Let me know what I can shed more light on.

 

Specs are in sig.

 

Edit:  Going to try to use a previous AMD driver.

do you have a different pc you can test the 7900xtx in? is it still under warranty?

Trying to load May's driver... 25.5.1...

 

WTF does this mean, it just goes to AMD driver website...  Gotta tell a brother the potential issue!!!!

I'd have to move the PSU over as well, but can be done later.

 

ASRock warranty is still a thing but would have to send to Asia from the US>  Last resort.

So when the AMD driver crapped out, it basically uninstalled itself for all intents and purposes.

 

I just enabled the GPU in Device Manager.  Now it's showing up, and working.

 

So there is an issue with the AMD Adrenaline or driver itself?

 

Edit:  But I don't want to use the Windows driver, do I?  I want the AMD driver for best performance?
