When I came to plug in the CPU power, I noticed besides the usual 2x4 connector, there's another 2x2 connector.

So when am buying a new PSU how do I know it'll have both connectorsPXL_20250617_160850227.RAW-01.COVER.thumb.jpg.63baebb4b402ef3a456fe6ba5d2526e1.jpg

usually the second 8 pin cpu power connectors can split to two 4 pin but you shouldn't need it if you have a lower power draw cpu.(try to keep the same problem to one thread)

I am pretty sure it will work fine with only the 4x4 connected my PURE Power 12M came with a cable that had one 4x4 and 1 4x4 that could be split into 2 2x2s

What CPU are you using?  Most CPU's are completely fine using only the 8pin CPU power connector.

I have personally never used more than the single 8pin.

You rarely need the extra 4pin.

The PSU will list on the product page what cables it comes with.

That 4 pin EPS connector doesn't need to be plugged in though, the connectors are wired in parallel with no detection circuitry so it doesn't matter if one of them isn't connected, and the 8 pin EPS can provide plenty of power for all but an overclocked 13900K/14900K (~400W, you'll have run into cooling limits of the CPU with an air cooler before you overdraw current from the EPS power connector).
