Too many SATA powerr connections! Need help.

Go to solution Solved by jaslion,

You can buy a sata header splitter and connect it to the ssd chain. Those use less power than the fans

I recently upgraded my PC, however I don't seem to have enough SATA power connections for my fans. I'm looking for suggestions to solve this problem.

Components:

Motherboard - Gigabyte B850 GAMING X WIFI6E

PSU - ASUS ROG Strix 1200w Platinum 80

Case - Phanteks NV7 D-RGB

CPU Cooler - Arctic Liquid Freezer III ARGB 360mm

Current Case Fans - 3x Arctic Fans

Case fans I want to upgrade to - 8 x LIAN LI SL-INF 120

Current Setup:

The PSU supports 2 SATA power cables, with each cable having 3 SATA power connectors, for a total of 6 power connectors.

The case controller uses 2 SATA power connections (Channel A and Channel B), my 3 SSDs use a connector each, for a total of  5/6 SATA connectors in use.

I have the default fans that came with the CPU cooler block connected to the motherboard's cpu fan slot. And the 3 arctic case fans connected individually to the motherboard's system slots.

The setup I want:

Leave CPU fans as are. Remove the 3 arctic case fans and replace them with 8 LIAN LI Fans (2 blocks of 3 fans and 1 block of 2fans).

The problem:

The LIAN LI fans make use of a fan controller that uses 2 SATA power connectors. I'm already using 5 out 6 of my SATA power connectors from my PSU.
