I got new IEMs and needed an extender because the 3ft cord is short. Got one, and attached everything and now it's not being detected. I tried just the IEMs themselves, and another pair of headphones and it still won't detect. I know it's not the IEMs because they're literally brand new and were working earlier today, and I know it's also not the IEM + cord because it works just fine on my phone. What the just happened and how do I fix it? When going to the sound system where you can see all your devices that are plugged in, it says not plugged in. Bluetooth speaker that I have paired works too, and tried taking it off to see if that was interfering. Nothing changed.

IEM's/extension use 3.5mm audio jack? If so make sure its not a 4pole one as not all pc audio out ports work with this type.

You may need an adapter that separates the audio and mic into their own seperate jacks.

Realtek? Or some other sound solution?

If it's realtek, try updating the drivers using IOBit Driver Booster.
