hiya friends i’m looking at ASUS Vivobook 15.6” laptops now, can’t decide which to pick

AMD model has 5825U CPU and Intel model has 1335U CPU

afaik nowadays AMD is in the lead regarding both desktop and mobile CPUs and this choice seems obvious to me. Not sure about Intel’s P and E cores thing, looked it up and it says 10 cores / 12 threads vs AMD’s 8 cores / 16 threads

Intel model is slightly (negligibly) more expensive

Both models have 16gb ram and 512gb ssd

The advantage of Zen-based chips is, on average, SLIGHTLY better battery life, somewhat better and more predictable performance. However, the intel chip does offer better GPU performance, so that is something to take note of

No worries!

Honestly, the two are fairly similar, I would personally go with the Zen option, but for most of the time, they would perform about the same. So, I don't think you will go wrong either way tbh

Intel's U class chips all have just two P-cores along with 8 E-cores. The two P-cores are hyperthreaded and the 8 E-cores aren't hyperthreaded, therefore you have a 10-core CPU with 12 threads
