How fast can an RTX 5090 go? Well today we're going to find out by pumping 1000W through the 600W 12VHP connector.

I really love these sketchy solutions to modding a GPU like mad 😏

Checking power consumption of the thermofisher unit can reveal probable refrigerant leak because compressor will take less power if pressure has reduced.  That is how I can tell on my chevy Volt anyway with leaky evaporator.

I remember when the water filter was clogged. Was it the water cooled bed experiment? I'd like to revisit all the vids with this!

That radiator fan had a video devoted to it? Ahh memories

Here's the link for the leaderboard.

LTT is currently 9th place. Splave is 3rd.

They really could've gone up higher had they used a CPU specifically for the benchmark instead of one that made sense for gaming.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 11 Pro

I almost had a heart attack seeing that power usage. The "1000 Watts" mod for the 4090 was kinda clickbait because it couldn't draw more than 550 and I never imagined a GPU drawing that kind of power. I literally can't even imagine what you could do with the RTX PRO 6000 as that significantly more cores. And I am genuinely scared of the future generations of Nvidia.

Were you guys not allowed to overclock the CPU? Disabling SMT would have helped. This is where Raptor Lake is still the best CPU which gives lots of clocks and low latency.

Microsoft owns my soul.

Also, Dell is evil, but HP kinda nice.

Soon we will be overclocking power supplies! (Warning!: this may end badly)

I mean liquid cooled PSUs were a thing for a bit 🙂

Please do it with an Intel CPU to beat the record!
