Hey guys,

the time has come and i have to retire my old GTX 970, i5-4690K.. There is nothing I can use from this PC, so have to start from scratch.

This will be my first build that I'll be making myself. I have read couple forums, checked a few pre-built PCs and this is what i have come up with and just need a double check before ordering everything.

https://cz.pcpartpicker.com/list/PNWWdb - there is a few parts without price, but this setup is 49.300 Kč + w11.

I just fell in love with the Thermaltake the tower 300 and hope everything is compatible with that case.

Budget (including currency): 50.000 Kč

Country: Czechia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly working on e-shop, MS Office, Canva etc., nothing hardcore. While not working QHD gaming - Esports, Witcher, WoW..

As i said before, this will be my first build. Do I need to buy some extras to make this as smooth as possible?

Thank you all!

Marek

I have a couple of comments:

There is no need for a 420mm rad. For one thing, past 240mm rads don't actually get much more effective cause they are limited by heat transfer at the CPU block. For another, the 7700 runs pretty cool. I suggest you get a 240mm rad, or even a tower cooler and save yourself a buck. (If your getting it for the looks, that is fair, but keep in mind that looks don't contribute to FPS)

Also, you should look for a CL30 kit of ram if you can, instead of the CL36 kit you have currently selected. 6000 Mhz and 2x16GB is the right choice though. Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticably improve performance past 240mm.

Thank you!

I picked the TH420 rad because it's currently just 400 Kč (about $20) more — a small price to pay for the looks 😁

I've already upgraded the RAM, so thanks a lot for that info. I'd been going over this build for a few days, but I didn't pay enough attention to that detail.
