I am seriously running out of HDMI ports. My TV has four, but I have multiple consoles both old and new that I switch between that I connect to it. Even with the four ports I have resorted to couplers and manually switching wires, and that's just a mess. That's not even counting the cablebox.

Most switchboxes are 4-5 ports, problem is I will probably need at least 6/7 ports. Most switch boxes I see are also 4K@60/1080@120. That's roughly what my current TV maxed out at (Samsung UN40JU7100)  but it's pretty old and I am wondering if I should plan ahead for the future and just get one that supports higher refresh/resolutions. So I have no idea if I should be looking at switches that can do 4K@120 or no.

Above all though, I have no idea which ones are any good. I see tons of brands on Amazon, I have no idea which are good and which are junk. Anker is a brand I trust... but they only have a 2 and 4 port switch. All the others I had never heard of. I saw many switchboxes that claim they do 16K@900HzHDRDolbyVisionDolbyAtmosDolbyAlsoDoesYourTaxes for suspiciously cheap, and ones that seem snakeoil expensive, but I have no idea which ones are any good. Can't really find any reviews for these like you would normally find for just about any other sort of home theater equipment.

Can anyone help suggest what is a good 6/7 port HDMI switch I can get in the US? Preferably not one that hits triple digits? I saw many in the $30-40 range but I have no idea if those were junk or not, would be great if there are decent ones in that price range though. Also wondering if it might be best to use more than one switchbox and just have different consoles on a different input since my TV has four inputs, but I'm not sure if I have room for that. Also planning to dedicate one of the inputs to my cablebox just to make everything easier on me.

I tried looking for a few, searching reviews on Amazon, using Fakespot, looking into the brands.... very little information I could actually find but I did find a couple, these two to seem the most promising though. Anyone familiar with any of these?

It's a bit annoying that a large chunk of the reviews for most of these indicate that the reviewer who usually gives it a 5/5 got the product for free... I do like how that second and fourth one have a separate button for each input instead of just one that toggles across them. Also that last one was recommended from one of the few recommended HDMI switchers lists I could find, but the reviews state that it conflicts with the Xbox remote, which is going to be a problem since that's one of the major systems I will be using on it, planning to use my Xbox One S as a 4K Blu-Ray player on it with a remote.

Another problem I ran into is that pretty much every single one has a handful of bad reviews of the "It broke after X months" variety, seems to be a constant with every 7 port switchbox I can find. Do any of these things actually last? One of the ones I saw said they smelled it burning when it broke. Can anyone offer me any advice on either any of those switches I listed or others they recommend I can look into?
